Familiarization Training

Our one-on-one familiarization training is aimed at the brand new computer owner.  Training is aimed at helping the new user become comfortable to do common tasks with their computer.

We don’t spend a lot of time on theory, but on “behind the wheel” instruction, by mature, patient instructors who can put you at ease and help you have fun.  There will be times of frustration, but we’ll be there to help.  Our goal is to get you comfortable enough to just play with your new system and explore its possibilities.  The more you use it the easier it will be.  Kids learn by doing, so will you.  Have you ever seen a kid afraid of a computer?

You will learn:

· How to properly turn your computer on and off (called booting and shutdown)

· The basic parts of your computer and what they do (simple overview)

· How to access and find stuff on the Internet

· How to send and receive (and file) emails

· How to create and save a document

· How to file things on your computer

· How to play music, view pictures, play a movie (if your computer is equipped)

· How to do routine maintenance on your computer to keep if running smoothly
